Discussion about
curious to know.... how many landlords or mgmts have claimed they received a violation for a temporary or pressurized wall? who is to say that this "bookcase wall" manhattan pressurized walls or the "walkabout" the new york wall and living space install is safe? i have noticed that vacancies are way up in many of the larger properties in nyc but the smaller LL have less vacancies. is it because they just dont have a fulltime staff or look out for the fleets of wall companies in NYC? From what the DOB and NYC have been marketing is the illegal rooms for rent in the outer boros. would love to hear back

There's no law that says pressurized walls are illegal per the NYC building code. A lot of buildings who don't allow it will allow a free standing wall which is essentially the same thing but doesn't go floor to ceiling, giving you the wall you want without the dispute with your building. They're safe only if they're done right. I started a blog about the use of them for my summer journalism class. Feel free to check it out http://pressurizedwallsguide.blogspot.com

If you want the truth about the situation than read this blog http://www.pressurizedwallsnyc.com/#!blogger-feed/c252o. Just because some reporter wrote an article does not mean this is true, media should be taken with a grain of salt!
