Discussion about 10th Avenue #UNIT
I have seen this apartment on and off rental sites since 2006 - and for cheaper than it is now... Must mean someone finds it better to move out once a year than stay - I'm wondering if it's that horrific wallpaper, bad noisy neighbors or a landlord who raises your rent every year...

yes I've seen this one too - I live in the area - there are a handful of apartments that are constantly being 'recycled' - kind of hints that they can't keep a tenant for reasons I prefer not to entertain. This one was on for about 3-4 months straight for about 2000 - negotiable. Look at the back of the stove - I think my parents had one like that when I was going into high school and my nonna had the wallpaper or something similar -- in 1968.

ooo they might consider this abuse... This site is good for seeing how long something 'lingers' on the shelf. You know what they say about something you keep putting back on the shelf - no one wants it!

Here's the same place on craigslist - it lists on StreetEasy twice - once saying it has 900 sq ft., then 950 sq ft; on Craigs it's 1200 listed since 9/1/10 with a VIEW of the garden. No doubt this is a nice place, but the owners have done little to nothing in the way of upgrading appliances, there is no visible dishwasher, no washer/dryer and the stove and wallpaper are an eyesore - if they won't fix it to rent it, they probably won't be attentive to any repairs that are needed after you move in. Also there hasn't been a B75 since June 2010 - you need to take two buses to get into Carroll Gardens. Hey, WheremyApt - don't knock Streeteasy - at least it shows us how the landlords/brokers pump the rent then decrease it to pump it up again. Those are the telltale signs to run for the hills.
