Can anyone recommend a reliable place with good prices for caesarstone countertops?

I bought through Supply My Counter, at Costco online, which @$69 psf was cheaper than IKEA and a lot easier to deal with. I viewed large Caesarstone samples at Gracious Homes, and ordered small samples direct from the manufacturer.

If you're information is accurate, then they just changed their policy. My countertops were installed in February 2010. In light of my experience, and now that they have a Manhattan Costco store, I find your information suspect.

Your story checks out, Supply My Counter (costco online) no longer services Manhattan. My guess is that it's because the new local store services the area. I would visit the store (as long as you don't buy anything, you don't need a membership card), and get a price quote. Or if you don't want to make a trip, call a store. I still feel you'll get the best price and decent service by checking Costco. If you're a good negotiator, however, most fabricators will give you a decent price.

Ikea's price was $72 psf for caesarstone and they are harder to deal with. Fabricators vary in their methods of calculating square footage.

Manhattan costco does not let you in without a membership card. They crack down really hard at the front door as i was waiting to return something over the weekend and they stopped people and even threatened someone with calling security if they did not produce a card or leave.

I am not sure where you get the information on the countertops in the store, but if you need to enter you need the card.

Then go to the Astoria/LIC store, I know for a fact you don't need a card. Take the N train, transfer to the bus, drops you right at the store. Why the hate on Costco?

I saw the countertop rep in the Ikea store in brooklyn, then I did a follow-up call because the color I wanted wasn't available when I was in the store. They are not easy to get a hold of by phone. My suggestion is to arrange the purchase at the Ikea store after you have already decided what you want and have approximate measurements.

Do these prices include installation cost? If not, what are average installation costs for an average size galley kitchen?

Usually prices include install, but not cutout for sink. They charge extra for that.

Nitti, depending on the stone can be anywhere from 80-100 sq ft installed
