Discussion about
I have been running an ad for a no-fee 1-bd in Forest Hills that I think is priced competitively v. the market on CL and SE without getting any meaningful response. The over-all package I offer generally gets a very strong response. Anyone else having that problem or ideas about whether CL has become so discredited because of false adver= tising that it no longer works well for no-fee by owner advertising.

Craigslist is difficult to navigate and yes, your listing could be losing out to all the other CAPS LOCK type listings which can be misleading. Have you listed it on StreetEast as well? I am finding that more and more of my friends are looking at both of these sites, but have a preference for StreetEasy for its user-friendliness.

I agree craigslist has become ground zero for listings that do not exist. Most people, including myself found that it seems to be where brokers you would never wnat to deal with post to get people to call them.

I used SE and NY times when i was looking to rent/buy over the summer.

I think SE is more suited for people looking to buy/rent in Manhattan. When I used to live in Queens, I used NYTimes.com a lot to search.

I ran across SE and absolutely love it. Very easy to navigate. Although I still frequent CL, I am finding it to be much of a hassel and filled with tons of scams.

Craigslist sells hookers. What kind of apartments can you expect?

I used Steeteasy, NYT, and Carig's List to advertising my rental. I am new at this..
I got best result with Streeteasy.

don't forget the local papers.... put an ad in the daily news and new york post... you'll get calls from there most likely.
