I am one of the first people to move into the Aldyn. I have written up a review of the building for buyers and renters here: http://thepowerofpull.com/siegel/thoughts/review-of-the-aldyn-60-riverside-drive Enjoy.

Why buy in Aldyn when you can rent in Ashley is the conclusion based on the subjective review. I think it's probably the right answer.

Great write up by dsiegel. I too recently moved into the Aldyn and share your views. The lobby compares unfavorably to the other buildings on RSB in my opinion. The lobby floor looks like something from my high school cafeteria circa 1970's. I am renting, but would not buy in the building just because of the lobby. Look at the Avery, Rushmore or even 120 RSB. Much nicer lobbies. The walls by the elevator in the lobby are painted, no stone work, no artwork, just plain walls. Also, the hallways do not show well. The carpet looks like an indoor / outdoor style straight from an auto dealership showroom, and again no artwork. Agree with all comments about the interior and HVAC. However, I will add that the heaters, at least in my unit are very noisy, and as the heat cycles off, it sounds like a huge wave of water. It is so loud, I do not sleep with the heat on. Extell usually puts forth a better showing. In my opinion, they should redo the lobby and hallways (on all floors) if they want to sell units in the building.
