Discussion about
Any advice on what to do with cut-off corners of rooms? Such as http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/571743-coop-400-east-85th-street-yorkville-new-york Or is there nothing one can do and it's just a big problem? Thanks.

cut off corners? The bedroom in the original one bedroom apartment has two entries, which is awkward. The second kitchen as a giant laundry room is a bit awkward as well. It's not an ideal three bedroom layout, but with the right marketing plan by a good broker, it should sell.

Don't really know what you mean by "do". The architecture is what it is--unless you can build out onto the terraces (but I don't see why you'd want to bother) you are stuck with this configuration.

In the bedroom with two entrances the obvious solution would be to seal off one of the entrances to allow for more wall space. By the way, I don't think the 'corner issue' is necessarily a problem if you are able to decorate around it, and in fact, may add some real visual interest to the spaces.

Agree about closing off second entrance in the bedroom. Also agree about the weird laundry room.

What I meant by "do" is furniture and use of space - this layout seems to make things like dressers, desks, bookshelves, etc. difficult, so I am just wondering if anyone has come up with creative solutions.
