I guess you don't remember the old days when they used to be in the kitchen. I think the bedroom seems a little more appropriate.

I think they were going more for rustic than trendy, but "ewwwww" still applies. Another bathroom trend I never understood was wall-to-wall carpeting. Actually, I've never understood wall-to-wall carpeting in general, but in bathrooms it goes from gross to downright disgusting.

i went to open house here. while it is a bit strange, the apartment is unique. feels like you are in firenze. i cant see myself living here all year round. but if someone were to use it part time, it would be very cool. not your cookie cutter apartment.

Given the look they were going for, I think it actually works, design-wise.

But from a resale perspective, the reconfiguration of the second bath (tub replaced with W/D + laundry sink in the bathroom; second kitchen replaced with giant tub) is unfortunate. Would've been so much easier to just leave that second bathroom as-is and add an adjacent laundry closet. Hopefully the owners used their jacuzzi every day, with all of the space it takes and controversy it causes.

I also noticed the listing has fallen out of contract twice. Wonder what's up.

Can't imagine why this listing is on the market over 6 months and now at 30% less than initially offered.

So someone wanted a tub the size of my car but the bathroom was too small so...plop it in the bedroom! Brilliant. When I wanted that 6 burner Thermador range that didn't fit my small kitchen, I just never thought to put it in the bedroom instead.

70s Batch Pad meets Tuscany Farmhouse. A scary mix.

Do Tuscany home owners renovate in the Greenwich Village NYC style? If not, why on earth does anyone in NYC go all Tuscan. It is the stupidest look when transplanted. People have no taste. Or sense.

Or Milan, some 10 years ago going up to my room at the Duomo Hotel, the bathroom just had a tub and no shower. I ask the receptionist "where's the shower?" "oh, you have to request a romm with a shower".....10 seconds of silence. I respond "Does it have to be in writing? I'm requesting."

Is that even the worst part? How about having to GO THROUGH THE KITCHEN AND PAST THE FRONT DOOR TO SHOWER!

Truthskr--at least you got a room with a bathtub. I've stayed in Rome hotels where the shower is literally in the room itself, with a flimsy curtain between it and the bed and nothing. The entire floor is soaked by the time you're done bathing.

I love a bath tub in the bedroom...that's where I do my best 'dirty' thinking.

saw the place 2 weeks ago. not something you can live in, unless you gut the whole place out. needs a lot of work and the bathtub in the room will most likely end up as storage if not taken out... i thought it was going to be cool when i read the description, not so much in person.
