Discussion about
I want to have two shower heads operating at the same time - One from rain shower and the other from hand shower. If I am in the burbs, I can do whatever I want but unfortunately I am not. I did some brief research on the topic and it looks like I need to install a 3-way diverter in order to achieve this. And Hansgrohe made a Thermostatic valve with Volume Control and Diverter in one piece. Very nice. However, will a coop normally allow this (i.e. the water pressure and plumbing issues, etc.)?

If you want to tear the wall up to install all that, then it counts as an alteration and you do need to go through the rigamarole.

Or you can replace your existing showerhead with a hand shower and rain shower and be done with it. Not as pretty, but that way you can see whether it's worth doing without a lot of expense.

If it's a stall shower rather than a tub, check whether the drain will be able to handle the increased flow. Just take off the showerhead and let the full flow come out of the pipe.
