You listed three buildings that are almost entirely different from one another. What do you mean by "just like these"?

The Ansonia.

By the way, 15CPW is not a pre-war building, just built to look like one. I will never understand the appeal of the "limestone Jesus."

Alanhart: I mean just like these as in a unique prewar like building architecture. Sorry if there are any confusions I may have caused.

mary14: Thanks mary!

Thanks wee, but I kind of want to avoid Harlem Area. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Can't you just do a search for prewar + condo on streeteasy?

All the newer conversions are condo on the UWS (take your pick - 240WEA, 845WEA, 905WEA, Avonova, blabla).

If you're looking for "iconic" architecture, then Ansonia & Apthorp on the UWS. If "faux" prewar is okay, then check out the Laureate, if you like 15CPW.

Midtown West - Vendome, 340W57.

Downtown - I like Christodora House, Rutherford Place, and look for lower Fifth Avenue condos (there are a couple of Bing & Bing ones, I forget the numbers). Also Devonshire House (but sold out, I believe).

Chelsea - Mercantile, O'Neill & Atelier

Downtown - any number of Tribeca loft conversions & 240 Centre St.

Brooklyn - you might like the Williamsburg Savings Bank conversion.

The list goes on and on.

Thanks NYC, you really helped alot. Sorry I wasnt specific enough, I wanted to keep like a high class standard almost as 15CPW and Laureate, but at a much lower price point. I was looking at apthorp and Ansonia because I really liked their prices better and it had that grand prewar architecture look. unfortunately CHristodora House and Rutherford place did not appeal to me as much. I'm trying to fin dhte Fifth avenue condos which are in my price point around $1.1-$1.5m for a 950-1200 sqft condo :( Some prewar buildings do not allow you to put a washer/dryer in your room. :( Trying to look really hard but having no luck so far. Thanks for all your help though!
