Hi, I've been quoted ~ $7K for the following, including installation, tax etc 6 battery operated Duette shades 1 manual duette shade 4 nantucket shades I live in a corner unit in a new building, so its mostly windows. Is this a good price? Thanks
Unless you post the window sizes for the shades hard to know
this is a very rough estimate - 25x9 ft for the duette, 18x9 for the nantucket total
thanks
Yes it is a good price. They had a rebate for $400.00 a little while ago, you should look into it
ill preface that i am ignorant of these shades---but nearly 700$ per shade?--for sizes less than 2 feet by 1 foot??
top of the line levolor blinds would be <50$ per shade
and a chimp can install shade of this size and application
I wonder if a chimp could glance over this thread and realize the difference between inches and feet?
seven 25 by 9 foot shades?
and 4 18 footers?
is this a 20,000 sq ft loft??
i wonder if a moron would suggest shades are sold in dimensions measured in feet?
Seems pretty good, considering the numbers thrown around at http://streeteasy.com/nyc/talk/discussion/25427-motorized-window-treatment
It's the long thin motors, to fit in the head rail, that really jack up the cost.
NWT, I remembered that thread which was the one that really blew me away. I wonder what the warranty would be on the motor? Is there a manual way to open if the motor goes? That would be my main concern before commitment.
wbottom i said "total", so obviously i meant feet
nwt i was told the motors are 200-300 extra each shade for battery operated (hunter douglass brand).
although the salesman for shadesco said the ones he uses are an extra 600 each shade
Before worrying about wbottom's opinion, ask yourself, what kind of jackass names "him"self after his own pointy ass?
correction - DOUBLE point ass
