Need a new kitchen ASAP. At least a minimally working kitchen. 3 week timing from start to finish. Possible? Recommendations? Ideally someone who has worked in 60 East 8th St.

"3 week timing from start to finish."

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!

Why stop there? Why not just ask for it to be FREE, too?

What is your definition of a new kitchen? are you doing full demolition, including the floors which you may want leveled after being removed? Or are you tearing out just the cabinets and appliances? Depending on how much you do will depend on your timing.

And if you are being specific to your own building would it not be better to ask people in your building then on here?

in a coop, forget it unless you do diy. you can find plenty of cabinets in stock at home depot, lowes, the chinese in chinatown (brooklyn, queens).

Go to Ikea and get a designer recommendation. As long as you can keep the existing electrical and plumbing, and just install new cabinets and appliances, 3 weeks is doable.

Demo has been done and yes 3 weeks is a very impossible task. I haven't asked people around the building but I got recommendation from the people who work in the building and got unpleasing results.

I have scheduled this out before and I know it would take about at least a month and half to two but circumstances require that it needs at least a minimal

You did the demo before having a plan for a new kitchen?

I had a contractor who was supposed to take the job. They did the walls and demoed the kitchen with a plan. As they worked through the job, it went bad. They were supposed to resurface the walls and noticed that they simply put new paint on it. As for the demo, they start putting cement over stuff because they made large hole when they ripped the cabinets down. I asked them to stop putting cement over stuff and follow the plan that was laid out. Refused. Started to paint over the cement which was not even surfaced. Started to put plastic laminant flooring when I picked the tiles and paid for them. etc.

Don't have specific recommendations, but I have friends in Queens who did a galley kitchen start to finish in one week using Chinese contractors and stock materials from Chinatown. New cabinets, granite, tiles, backsplash, appliances, etc.

Three weeks for a kitchen should be perfectly reasonable if it's planned out and the materials are ordered or in stock.

Which won't mean squat unless you have a reliable contractor.

It's ALL about the contractor.

agreed with lad. had my 19 ft X 7 1/2 foot kitchen done in less then 2 weeks once the cabinets arrived. that included tile, customizing some cabinets, installing all cabinets and appliances.

We DIY'ed our kitchen, and it was a labor of love that took 3 HARD weeks total, WITH cabinets in hand and a completed floor at the start.

I suggest AJ Madison for appliances, they will install for a very small fee.

Have fun with that.

Regarding your original contract.... Here is a great joke.

When do you fire your contractor?

As soon as you give him a deposit

You can try out our contractor. He was great! I know he will be honest with his timing. His email is philipshomeimprovement@gmail.com. Best of luck.

Three weeks is doable if you purchase everything correctly. The only issue you might have is countertops as a template should be made after installation of base cabinets. Sometimes this can take up to two weeks. You cannot hook up your sink or dishwasher until that is done

I would not know. I don't sell refurbished appliances.

THe article is on your price quote.
So you give great price quote.

Did you read your reviews?????
Not just just the fluff piece on top from your buddy matt.

This one in particular;
Something odd is up with Levi Capland. The old cyebye.com site is now essentially down, and boy, did he make some enemies!

His reviews on epinions go down-down-down:
http://tinyurl.com/geod8

His Better Business Bureau record is "unsatisfactory":
http://tinyurl.com/jjmlq

If you buy from him all the time and he's been reliable, obviously this is irrelevant -- but otherwise, I'd keep a close eye on your order.

Yeah I sold my company Cyebye.com to EBA years ago. When EBA took it over Cyebye went downhill sad to say. Cyebye was my baby. The negative comments came from some sales people at EBA (with a lot of time on their hands).

Im confident with my prices and service.

Here is another write up on AT. Again you will see some frivolous comments
