Changing bathroom entrance?

Discussion about
In our three bedroom apartment, there are 1.5 baths, both with hall entrances. We were thinking of changing the entrance so the half bath is is directly accessible from the adjoining bedroom and no longer has a hall entrance -- to make it more of a master bedroom. Do you have any idea about whether this would help or hurt future resale value in Manhattan?

So you want it to act like an en-suite master bathroom, but not have a tub or shower? Or were you planning on converting it to a full bath as well?

Bad idea. You want the "powder room" to always be easily accessible to guests, rather than forcing them to traipse through the bedroom.

And any benefit of an "en suite" bathroom is neutralized by the fact that you still have to leave the "suite" to bathe or shower.

Seems silly. With 3 bedrooms, if one person is showering in the full bath, you would have nowhere for anyone else to "go" without walking through the master. If you already have a bathroom deficit, I think you'd want all of them to be as accessible as possible.
