That's NY state. NYC is 9.7 percent, almost 1 percent HIGHER than last year.

The total amount of assets are at a certain level, the higher the employment (more poor), the richer the 1% become.

This well explains why Manhattan RE continues to make record-high prices.

jason10006, I did read the article. You quoted the NYS unemployment in your initial post, but I felt that the NYC numbers are even more relevant. I also wanted to highlight the fact that it was almost 1 percent higher than the same time last year.

Did my comment somehow offended you in some way that you felt the need to respond in such as nasty tone?

Sunday, thank you for pointing it out. I agree it is a lot more relevant to this NYC discussion board and some of us don't read every link someone cuts and pastes to this board.
