Added time for filing plans

Filing fee is based on your construction cost estimate. They have a formula for that, once you input all the required data on DOB system, it will calculate for you. In addition to filing fee there is also a records management fee 165. I can send you some example from my past jobs if you want.
I usually have the plans ready in 2 to 4 weeks depends on the scope of work. Then there will be some back and forth between me (architect) and the building management (building engineer or architect), that depends on how fast they process the application, usually takes about a month based on my experience. After the board approves the application then the drawings are ready for filing to DOB. There is really no way to say how long it will take in DOB, a month is reasonable. Normally, for residential renovation jobs I would request for "same day review" to speed up the process.

Back and forth between architect and building management and building engineer and co-op board may take much longer than 1 month. Some management companies may reject "same day review" request.Good luck !

I have never heard of any management companies reject "same day review" which is standard review not "professional certification". I have heard a lot of horrible stories about the lengthy process between the architect and building engineer, it just never happened to me.
