does anyone know why maintenance is so high in this coop?

It's a land-lease co-op. The landowners are the same Beekman/Cannon heirs as the Beekman Hotel, etc.

12/31/2048, with renewal options until 12/31/2097.

Sub-leasing is permitted for 1 year with Board Approval. A second year may be possible with approval as well.
