There's a place on 5th called the sliding door company. Look nice, but not cheap.

Are you referring to a system or are you talking about buying doors and a track? For regular sliding doors I generally buy Hafele track from Simons Hardware, it is not cheap but it is very good. Doors I buy at exclusive doors in Brooklyn or Door Stop in New Jersey

If you are referring to the organizer within the closet, I think I going to purchase an Elfa closet... unless someone thinks there are better options at that price range.

I looked at the sliding door company ones and some of them actually looked quite nice. And sometimes, you need to be practical. Much nicer and easier than bi-folding doors.

Sliding, in my opinion, looks much nicer than bi-folding.

What is the opening size? What kind of closet - reach-in? walkin? Depth? My big issue with sliding is that door styles & heights often look out of place with the other furnishings/fixtures in the room. I've never seen sliding doors look good in a prewar context, for example.

What kind of mounting are you looking for? Are you looking to have the doors flush with wall or are you looking for overhang?

My personal preference is to have doors - not sliding or bifold. Or to have built-ins flush to wall with doors that harmonize with the doors.

Haha. I assumed ( maybe wrongly) that was not what OP meant. Sliding non-pocket doors, of the bypass variety.

9 foot reach in closet. Bedroom isnt large, so don't want hinged doors that take up too much space.

I like most of these - using a "furniture" base (say Pax from Ikea) to approximate built-in closet, instead of using a pair of (larger) sliding doors.
