hey alan, hope all is well. i have always been curious why all the distaste you have for quinn. would have thought she was right in your sweet spot. and not trying to be sarcastic. i am no fan of hers but thats probably not surprising.

And isnt it funny how Yankees and their fans all of a sudden have religion about steroids and HGH?
As I hear the question, "Should Yankees try to void Arod's contract?" I ask myself, "Well should the Yankees then have their 2009 Championship removed?"

Amazing, you grossly overpay and give what everyone knew was a bad contract. To an absolute moron who as long as he was still useful in getting you a ring you look the other way, and now you want an opt out? LMFAO.

Please, somebody give Santana something to get on the field. Jeeesus H.

rangersfan, how do?

Here's the thing about Porcine Quinn: once you wipe off the proverbial lipstick (try various industrial solvents; something's bound to work) and suction out the lipids, then keeping lipoing and lipoing and lipoing, you can easily skin her and what you'll find yourself looking at is the world's worst nose job and an impossible-to-listen-to adenoidal whine. That's right, Boston Bloomberg Inside (TM).

I hope I've been helpful in clarifying my position.

well that about sums it up - you should work on brevity and getting to the point. very hard to work through all the vagueness in your point of view.

stay well.

truth, i am afraid adding vintage seaver to their roster would probably get them from last place to maybe second to last this coming year....

Rangerfan, exactly what they had last year, Dickey was as good as vintage Seaver last year and they managed 2nd to last.
Who else but the Wilpons could trade away a guy guaranteed to give you 200 plus innings,an ERA under 2.5, save your non existent bullpen countless innings, AND actually LOVED being here?!?

If only Pedro were juiced in 2006 and didnt miss the playoffs eh?

any contract north of 2mm, the guy is a goner. they HAD to keep wright lest a full scale revolt and figured they could withstand the heat on dickey. cash poor + years of stupid baseball decisions = really bad team.

a real shame but the wilpons will never sell, just riding out the financial tsunami and they figure they are in the 6th or 7th inning on that. meanwhile, the team will suck for another few years....

we always have arod to look down on though....

The comical thing is, steroids have been quite heavily used in baseball since at least 1990.
Back in college those years, the gym I worked out in had at least 50% of the clientele on it.
I'd bet anything by '89, at least bare minimum 10% of ballplayers were using then.
Remember Dykstra's transformation to the Hulk when he went to Philly?
I even tried half a cycle of anadrol and I quit because I got too big.
It doesn't teach you HOW to hit a ball but it absolutely makes you faster and stronger.

Arod: I really laughed when that doc last month said steroids doesn't cause the hip injury Alex has. Im fairly sure it does, certainly human GROWTH hormone does.

I will donate the maximum allowable by law to anyone who gets rid the the medieval torture devices masquerading as a bike rack in front of my building. I will guaranty matching contributions from anyone who actually lives on this small island rather than visits from Liverpool for a week or from Ohio for 4 years.

So far, I've only seen cars parked in front of the bike racks. It's just another indication that we don't live in Copenhagen. I will vote for the candidate who repeals all of the meshugenah rules and cockamamie ideas dreamed up by Jeanette Genghis Khan and her gang from Transportation Alternatives.

To her credit, post-Sandy, Quinn proposed a seawall (or dyke) be built around Manhattan.

I have to say, I was somewhat put off by your suggestion that I shake a sidecar until it's so cold that I can no longer hold it, and then serve it to you at a table where you want to sit alone. Rather presumptuous of you, no?

Let's get this party started, right?

just looking for some common ground, no intent to offend. always up for a good exchange too but the trolls around here take away some of that spirit.

if I recall correctly, your typical recipe calls for shaken libations to last a few rounds...

I was referring to your "table for one" remark. No offense taken. You're supposed to claim that you were merely quoted out of context -- that's what Republicans do. And then try to spin it that I was trying to spin it.

dang, that's harsh alan. but i still love ya. and not a republican. but i guess my railing against corrupt, big government - especially here in nyc and nys might label me as such. and yes, i guess i am a serial repeater on that front, doesn't change the fact that it is absolutely the naked truth.

and the gang running to represent this city in the next election is a complete joke and embarrassment. so if that makes me a republican, then paint me red. or maybe that makes me a Marxist??

and shelly silver absolutely sux ballz.
