Discussion about
We recently bought a combined apartment where the second kitchen was turned into a wet bar by the previous owner more than 5 years ago. The gas meter was located inside the kitchen and they had it removed by ConEd since it was ugly and in the way, and they no longer had a need for gas. Well, now we want to turn that wet bar into a laundry room (we have young kids and have no use for a wet bar).... [more]

I'd head over to Brownstoner and try posting your question there if it hasn't already been covered in the archives.

I'm assuming you've already thought about running a gas line from your existing meter to the new laundry room?

I would go with electric and get rid of the headache that you're having.

Thanks flarf, I'll try over there as well.

The existing meter is at the far end of the apartment unfortunately. And ab, the building doesn't allow electric.

Bldg no let new power through, maxed out. Move dryer to kitchen, under counter; or in adjacent closet. It's not hard, not far to reach.
