Lien search with judgments

The lien search for the apartment I am supposed to close on came back with judgments. My attorney says she has written to the building to indemnify me. Somehow I feel like I'm part of a machine that is chugging along and I don't have enough information. My contract says that the building has 30 days to resolve lien issues. Is this indemnification the resolution? Is it enough? Do I need to find out what those judgments are? What is the standard? Apologies in advance for my ignorance.
Pick up the phone and call your attorney and have her explain this situation to you.
It's not so easy. I'm in Europe. I left her multiple emails 2 days ago. She usually gets right back to me. That is why I am asking around.
Are you getting a mortgage? This is really the title insurance company's issue and my understanding is that they will resolve it (at the seller's cost) before a closing...
No I'm not getting one. But maybe that still clarifies something. Maybe by getting the building to indemnify me my attorney means that they will buy title insurance?
Even if you're not getting a mortgage, there's owner's title insurance.
That said find out what those liens are. Maybe this is not a good deal.
You can always buy title insurance but I believe it protects you against anything that comes up that the title company did not find. So, since you know about the judgments, I don't think title insurance will help you. It might be better for you to walk. Why buy yourself a potential headache.
