Discussion about
compare the stock market chart in direction 27-28 and swings to that of 2007-2008. striking similarities. Will 2009 be the year the debt bubble explodes. George Soros just mentioned a "market crash" could occur. 2009 will be difficult year, let's just remember NOT TO BLAME OBAMA!

Why not blame Obama? He's the one whose supporters will help get John Dubya McCain elected.

Read about the economy during Jimmy Carter's term in office and it will repeat itself with Obama....18% inflation, loss of jobs, etc, etc.

I heard prohibition is going to be passed in Manhattan and that the brothels, crack dens, and bath houses are coming back to Times Sq. Additionally, Central Park is being developed into a maximum security prison for child molesters and terrorists. The new Yankee Stadium will be filled with garbage and dead livestock as an experiment for urban disease control and the Statue of Liberty will be stripped down to her underwear exposing a torn thong and nipple rings. Add that to the fact that all of the jobs on Wall St. will be moving to a 100k sqft building in Miami and the LES will be annexed as part of Brooklyn and utilized as a nuclear waste site.

julia: Whereas 1979-80 would have been different with Gerald Ford in the White House? Right, because those "Whip Inflation Now" buttons were the answer.

The best thing about those "WIN" buttons that the Ford administration issued as part of their "Whip Inflation Now" campaign: everyone wore them upside down, which meant Not Improving Much!
