There seems to be a lot of units for sale in this building. Any particular reason?

Guessing based on a quick view of the pix of the current units for sale: The cold winter has not been easy on some of the older residents. Also, somebody wants to move to a bigger place to house their new kid.

Cookie-cutter layouts, low ceilings and cheap flooring doesn't help.

I'd love to get some information about this too. Two more apartments in the building (11L and 8D) went on the market yesterday. If anyone has any insight, I'd really appreciate it!

It's a large building so the probability is high that there will be a few for sale at all times. Aaron2 is also right. This building has a high percentage of older residents that have been there a long time so they are in transition. We live there and have had no issues with HOA or maintenance.

This Co-Op has an excellent staff and has a small gym and a pool (all located in the basement level.
Further there is a lovely Roof Deck which shareholders enjoy during the Spring, Summer months.

This coop is impeccably managed and run with a fulltime staff. The pandemic has caused an uptick in many coops that normally have a lower number of active listings. The pandemic has caused many NYers that have been here 20, 30 or 40+ years to reevaluate what they want to do next. The 50 year old that moved here when they were in their 20s, the 65 year old that thinks its a good time to retire someplace else closer to family and friends and the 70+ group that are in need of more immediate care by family members and more affordable caretakers. NYC's best days are ahead of it! The city will pivot and transform. I am excited to see how we evolve as on of the top global destination cities. No doubt living, renting, commuting to work and where we will work will change. We are resilient and will roll with the punches and adapt. I heart NYC!
