Discussion about Coliseum Park Apartments at 345 West 58th Street in Lincoln Square
I've been looking at a studio at Coliseum Park and it is a great price, but I have heard from a broker and from someone who lives in the building that the board is impossible. Ridiculously hard to get approved and once you are in, they send nasty emails threatening harsh punishment if you break the rules, etc. I'm not sure if the board is the same for both 30 West 60th and 345 West 58th, but it is all one complex so I assume it is one board. Anyone heard similar things? I don't want to even bother with an offer if it's true. Thanks.

I would agree that it is ridiculously difficult to obtain board approval. The board is extremely slow and terribly inconsiderate of the buyer's time table. As a former shareholder here, I can honestly attest to their inefficiencies. Moreover, the relationship some of the board members have with the "Resident Broker" is a cause of concern. The Resident Broker seems to somehow hold weight with the board and can push or delay potential transactions. I experienced this first hand and was re-assured by the Resident Broker that my deal would go through if I went with him instead of another agent. I would have pursued litigation against the board and broker if I had the time to pursue it.
Hi - who's the "Resident Broker" you refer to? I worked with a listing agent for an estate sale, and never encountered problems.
Does 345 West 58th Street and 30 West 60th Street have the same board or have separate board?
Hi angrytenant26_1881518,
Can you please let me know who is the "Resident Broker"?
Thank you!
Just look through old listings and very likely you will find some one claiming to be the resident broker.
300_mercer, good idea. thank you!
