I'm looking for someone who can build closets in my apartment. I'm not looking for an Ikea install, but to convert a hallway space and modify an existing closet - on a tight budget. Please let me know if you or if you know someone who would be interested.
`I just had closets installed in my the entry way of my home. Here are the photos

The shelving on the left is a concealed closet that looks as if it is a pillar, mirroring the pillar on the right.
This was about 7 ft. wide and about 6" down from the ceiling. If you're interested, I'll give you the contractor's name. The cost of a closet this large runs around $4,500.
What I can see from the photo looks great. But that is super expensive for me. I am planning to take a 12" deep existing closet to give it a standard 24" depth. The other closet, which I may or may not get worked on right away basically involves adding doors and moving them around, ie some millwork but very little actual construction. I'd love to do the first closet right away. But it's only a 4' wide closet so would be looking for someone who does tiny jobs.
I had to extend the walls also. This, framing for the doors, and taping/plastering, was the biggest part of the cost. The contractor considered this a small job as it took only 2 or 3 days.
For the periphery only where this makes a difference: men's or women's closet?
Uni-sex coat closet and shelving unit (mainly for shoes) for my project.
