Discussion about 257 Water Street at 23 Peck Slip in Fulton/Seaport
Agreed. The management is absolutely awful and the building is falling apart. The super is non-responsive and not located on-site or even near the building. The hallways and units leak after it rains, the elevator breaks down frequently, and there is no longer access to use the roof. I do not recommend living here and I have lived in seven different apartments in the city, This is the most poorly managed one.
Jess, Are you still upset after a year of "used to live"?
RUN RUN RUN! This is the absolute worst building in NYC to live in. Awful, nonexistent management so don't expect anything at all to work. Super is never around either.
Even worse is when it rains, it leaks into apts and there's a serious MOLD problem in the building. I had to go to the dr. multiple times for issues due to mold. The building is completely falling apart. The roof deck isn't for people to use but people do it anyway and it's damaging the building and the apts below it.
I got out of my lease after a few months of living in truly uninhabitable conditions. Run from this building!!
THE WORST BUILDING I HAVE EVER LIVED IN AFTER 8 YEARS. No heat, bugs, wouldn't fix a window in our bathroom for months, would enter the unit without permission, and only gave our deposit back after we threatened legal action. RUN AWAY.
