Discussion about
We are looking for a new live-in super, but our managing agent can not find an appropriate candidate. We are in a very desirable neighborhood, in a good public school zone, the apartment is on a higher floor and quite nice. Are there any online forums, agencies or other sources that could help us? Please email me at georgecuriou@gmail.com if you know of a good candidate.

Look around in stepping stone neighborhoods. Especially those with less than ideal transportation.

post an ad on craigslist. It's a lot of work getting a super, and they are in high demand. Expect to hold lots of interviews.

If you have a friend who lives in a good building, ask their super to recommend someone. In the old days, the whole village in the Balkans would become supers, one by one.

Supers normally want a FREE APT and GET A DECENT PAY. Too many landlords are not willing to do this.

Start by getting rid of the managing agent who can't come up with a good super.
