Issues at 29 Tiffany Place

Substantial capital assessment at this bldg lasts until 2020! Does anyone know if this was converted from a project at some point? The place is pretty dingy. No character, except the street itself has cobblestones. Halls run down, carpets stained, terraces are as inviting as an interrogation room in communist Berlin, fixtures cheap... Apparently mechanical issues affected residents for a time, seems like maybe that's resolved. There are water stains that look like plumbing leaks. Nice doorman, but only PT, which seems strange for an area that is so dark and empty at night. Does anyone know whether this place was flooded in storm Sandy?

False on every point, what's your real issue? Trying to lower a price? It was converted from an old sandpaper factory. The penthouse terraces are amazing - large with beautiful views. The hallways are being redone, but were not "dingy", just dinged up from strollers and such. Been here nearly a decade and I don't know of any water stains either - is that someone's particular apartment? 29 Tiffany was untouched by Sandy - it is uphill from the docks.

Hi there - This is not a fair assessment of this building. I've looked at a few units and the hallways have been renovated completely. The patios I saw were very nice with landscape, pavers and amazing views of Manhattan, Governors Island and the Statue of Liberty. I'm not sure if you spent time in Cold War Berlin, but this building is a far cry from what you describe. No issues with Sandy. The broker said they lost cable for a few hours and that was it. Parking lot, shuttle to subways in BH. If I could swing it, I'd move in happily.
