What do people think of this school vs PS6, PS41, PS234 etc. Thanks.

If you are going to be irresponsible enough to raise school-aged children in Manhattan and all the baggage they'll have for the rest of their life as a result, at least send them to the best schools.

Go to schools.nyc.gov and look at the reports on each school. PS 6 had always had the best reputation.

jelj, looked up the website you recommended. Yorkville community school seems to be pretty bad.

I tutor a number of children from Yorkville through an agency and the DOE picks up the tab. I walk by the school frequently and they have events, open to the public, in the street. The students and parents seem like caring, decent people. Those I tutor are very well behaved. The best thing to do is to go to these schools and make an evaluation for yourself.

Thanks jelj13. It does not seem anyone buying a $3++mm apt will send their kids to this school. Trying to understand how much discount should there be due to school district change .
