Price per sq ft and common charges seem high for a building with no amenities....thoughts?

Maintaining a building with small number of units is always expensive per apt as fixed costs are shared by fewer apts.

All costs are variable.

To the contrary, I would say that those maintenance fees are not sustainable, and the taxes will quadruple when the abatement expires

But there are no amenities, no doormen. I understand that there are fewer units to split the costs, but the costs should be low to begin with when there are no building-wide amenities.
I don't think this building has a tax abatement.

On another note, what an odd choice of kitchen lighting fixtures. They look like broken desk lamps hanging upside down from the ceiling.

For the mid-floor apartments (#2, for example), how do you get out of the apartment if the elevator breaks down, or there is a fire? Jump off the balcony? The space to the left of the elevator appears to be a light well, not a staircase.

@Aaron2 the living rooms have a door to the staircase, there is no light well.
