Discussion about
Hi All - Wondering if anyone can recommend a broker to list our place who has a specialty/focus on Hell's Kitchen? HK seems like a bit of a weird market so we thought it might be useful to list with someone who has experience in the neighborhood. Thanks!

We used Dan Gotlieb to sell our place. Not sure that he specializes in Hells Kitchen, but he was fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone. He also charges a lot less than the typical broker, so that's another plus. www.digsrealtynyc.com

My friend Matthew at my old firm just sold a maisonette on West 50th between Tenth and Eleventh. Are we still allowed to call that Hell's Kitchen, or do we have to call it Clinton?

Ali, It is high time that upper 50st on the west side got a new name. CPSW? SOLI (south of Lincoln Center).

I like Hells Kitchen, you can live in a gentrified nabe, with a cool name. Adds at least a 5% premium to ask.

I think of Hell's kitchen as area in the 40s and perhaps low 50s. Upper 50's are closer to the park and could do better with Central Park and Lincoln center association.
