Discussion about
Hi- I am in contract for a preconstruction condo in queens and inspections for a temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) are starting in June 7. How long does it typically take for the TCO to be issued once inspections start? Thanks

I'm actually curious too. How long does it take to then get a permanent CofO? Is it the developer's duty to make sure it gets done?

Well, buildings (new developments) can just keep rolling over their TCO. It does happen, especially if work is still ongoing.

Read this first, it's a tricky subject and happens a lot to new build buyers:

It'll be after completion if it happens at all, all permits need to be closed out

How about soho lofts that consistently roll over TCOs, or have no TCO
