Discussion about The Grove at 250 West 19th Street in Chelsea
You will live with second-hand smoke if you move here. The Grove is not a "non-smoking building", and the air circulation systems are very poor. Although residents are not permitted to smoke in hallways, they are permitted to smoke inside the apartment. There are so many smokers (cigarettes and more) that the building smells like you have time traveled back to the 1980's -- the smoke fills the hallways and will come into your apartment. Repeated complaints to management go nowhere.

It’s true. My apartment smells like marijuana because my neighbors smoke constantly! The smoke just pours in through the vents. Management does nothing! There are too many buildings in NYC that are smoke free. Go there. Don’t rent here!!
