Discussion about The Concorde at 220 East 65th Street in Lenox Hill
stay far away from any unit on the 64th st facing side. there are 2 hospitals on that block and there are garbage trucks, oil trucks, other service vehicles ALL night running hydraulics, backing up, opening and closing garage doors. last summer i guess they were replacing all the air conditioning units in the hospital, the entire summer there was a huge 53ft truck right outside my window with 4 giant air conditioner compressors running 24hrs/day

Agreed. The building itself is gorgeous and extremely well run, especially with the new resident manager. But any apartments that face 64th street are immensely noisy. The hospitals have pick ups and drop offs ( obviously ) but since that is a road that leads towards the bridge, cars behind these pick ups honk NON stop at the slightest delay. The trucks that service the hospitals are noisy and nocturnal. I use ear plugs, a loud fan and it still wakes me up every day. ( at 3 am, 5 am etc ) And FORGET about opening your balcony or windows any time from 7-9 am or 3-6 pm. It is almost unbearable. AGAIN, LOVELY staff with amazing service. But, the noise is over the top.
