The Broadway-facing units in this building have an unusual fire escape design that was a deal-killer for me. In the living room, a full-size door with a push-bar provides access to the fire escape. This door can easily be opened by a child, who could become locked out and fall off the fire escape. I could not imagine any way to secure this door that would still be compliant with fire codes.
