Discussion about
Recently bought a very unrenovated, 2BR prewar co-op on the Lower East Side. It's not a high-end building, but it has some nice details. I'm looking to do mostly a basic renovation: repair the walls (maybe skimcoat), retile the bathroom, sand down to the original steel window frames and possibly a kitchen renovation that would get rid of 1 wall and partially open up another, close off a door, and move around some appliances. Nothing fancy, but quality work with an attention to the historical detail. Does anybody have a contractor they can recommend for this sort of project?
