Discussion about
As more Hudson Yards office buildings start to get occupied, which areas will be most convenient for people who work there to live? 7 is the only train which takes your there. Buildings around West 42nd assuming your spouse works on the west side? Grand Central, upper park of Murray Hill, Lower part of Turtle Bay around U.N. if your spouse works on the east side? What are people hearing?

Hell's Kitchen buildings could benefit. Even in the 50s you could get the bus down 9th Ave and then walk over. One big new development there is Charlie West. Also to plug my new area, the new construction in NJ where commuters can get off at the ferry station at 39th and west side highway and then walk down a few blocks.

Columbus Circle area around/west of 8/9th Avenue, 57th
and below are clearly a big beneficiary as you can take 1/9 or the dreaded bus down 9th ave. Not sure how many New Yorkers will take the bus.

I see wealthy people on the Fifth/Madison bus lines but they tend to be the older crowd.

I'd rather take the bus down 9th than have to cram on the 1/9 and then transfer to the 7 at times square during rush hour.

The 9 train hasn't run in over a decade!
