Discussion about 22-28 Steinway Street in Ditmars-Steinway
Last year I rented the apartment on the top floor with two other housemates. We were all very respectful, clean and kind tenants. We were tormented by the landlord, to the extent that we had to file police complaints for harassment. This was devastating and exhausting as we just wanted to live ur lives. I implore and beg you to not stay here as he lives on the bottom floor. Look elsewhere please.

I am the LANDLORD/OWNER of this Property. I noticed that there are a number of Unsubstantiated False Derogatory Negative Comments no doubt put there by former disgruntled tenants.
They basically have been trying to get back at me in petty ways for stopping their AIR BNB BUSINESS ON MY PREMISES. Their comment is one of them.
On a Weekly basis they'd bring in 5-20 EXTRA PEOPLE even though the LEASE EXPRESSLY FORBIDS AIR BNB. My WATER BILL WENT UP EIGHT TIMES!!!
They caused much damage and expen$e to my beautiful three bedroom Apt! It used up their Security Deposit and More. In an attempt to get it back they filed suit. In Court they could not produce a shread of evidence to their unfounded, concocted claims. Subsequently, their Case was DISMISSED!
They even attempted to retry the Case and again it was DISMISSED. The second attempt they didn't even bother showing up in Court!
If the Apt was left clean and tidy, then how come when you moved I had to get a PROFESSIONAL CLEANING CREW to clean the entire Apt? The Company Owner said that they had never seen an Apt so Filthy! It was left damaged and filthy presumably as retaliation and to get back at me for reminding them to follow the LEASE RULES AND NO AIR BNB. Reminding a Tenant of the LEASE RULES is NOT HARASSMENT of which there was no compliance.
In addition, it was so filthy that I had to get an EXTERMINATOR since the CLEANING CREW SAW MICE DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE!!!
(THE APT HAS SINCE BEEN CLEANED AND RESTORED TO RENTABLE CONDITION)
Months before they moved out, this Tenant refused to let my Contrator and I inspect the Apt (which is my express right according to the LEASE) to make an assessment for maintenance etc. (Presumably since they didn't want me to see the filth or AIR BNB! I have full documentation, receipts and photos substantiating the filth, damage and presented it in Court leading to a DISMISSAL of their alleged unfounded concocted fictional claims in the Case.
They even attempted to retry the case and again it was DISMISSED. They didn't even bother to show in Court! I have a copy of the JUDGEMENT handed down by the Court.
Anyone can walk into a Police Precinct and file a complaint for anything. That does not make their unsubstantiated claim true! It only means that they have given a false statement.
I would not recommend this group of roommates for an Apt anywhere. They were everything but respectful, clean and kind. In fact, they were the polar opposite.
Further unsubstantiated claims will be met by Litigation and my Attorney.
