People are moving out of my apartment building

Hello, I am a tenant of 20 years at my current apartment building in Queens, NYC. Recently, I have noticed that a lot of units are empty, and no new tenants seem to be moving in. We live in a one bedroom apartment here, paying a decent amount below market value. There have been some talks about the building being sold, however I am not sure if that's still going to happen. Given this situation, what might it mean for me and my family? Thank you.
