I used to own a Miele ventless-you need to empty the container every load.....apart from that worked great and highly recommend.

Believe you can connect it to a drain.

BTW for anyone installing a washing machine I highly recommend putting in both a backflow preventer/check valove as well as a leak detection/shutoff device like a Watts Intelliflow.

My Miele is installed in a closet but for some reason does not generate much humidity. Maybe its the heat pump technology. My building requires the backflow preventer/auto shut off.
