Discussion about
Hi, I own an apartment in UWS and I am planning to move to SF for a job very soon(in 2 months). I can't sell this apartment yet, so for the year I'd like to rent it out. I already had a first meeting with two realtor. Both come with different pros and cons. Here are my questions. 1. When it comes to renting, is it common to work with multiple realtors? 2. What's the best way to keep renting for a several years remotely? I appreciate any inputs and expertises. Thanks!

You either do it yourself via Streeteasy owner’s listing or via a single broker. Either way most of the customers will come via Streeteasy. In this market, you will need to do no fee. Otherwise, no one will look. For remote renting, one way is to make arrangement with super to ensure all maintenance is done or arranged and pay him $1000 per year for this service plus actual repair expenses.
