Couple - bad credit/good credit

Hello, everyone! I’m preparing to find a place with my boyfriend and am facing a weird situation. Basically, I make a decent salary ($115K/year) but have pretty bad credit (580) that I’ve been working to rebuild. On the other hand, my boyfriend only makes about ($60K/year) but has good credit (710). I’m trying to build my credit to 620 as fast as I can, but I’m worried it won’t get there soon enough. Basically, will my salary combined with his credit score be enough to get us an apartment? Or, do you think we’ll need a guarantor?
