Dangerous Elevator Problems

Discussion about Manhattan Promenade at 344 Third Avenue in Kips Bay
Residents have stated that the elevators chronically malfunction in this building. On August 22, 2019, Samuel C. Waisbren, aged 30, died as a result of an elevator malfunction. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/22/nyregion/nyc-elevator-death-accident.html

Very tragic, he was young and had his life ahead of him, and died in a snap second just going to work in the morning.

What is the building doing now with elevators? I wouldn't ride in that elevator for $10k...and there are people 20+ floors up. I can't imagine taking a baby stroller up over 20 flights of stairs.

Elevator accidents are rare but can happen. I feel very comfortable now since both elevators are new. I actually feel more safe on those elevators that my office, not sure how old they are!!
