Discussion about Summit NYC at 222 East 44th Street in Turtle Bay
If you’re looking for a nice place to live, look somewhere else. I don’t know for Mr. Goldman himself (the owner), but he lets these low grade managers be in charge and they are.. awful. If you’re looking for a nice place to live, look somewhere else. I don’t know for Mr. Goldman himself (the owner), but he lets these low grade managers be in charge and they are.. awful. Just go look at BLDG reviews with a google search. I'm a resident at the Summit. Even though this building is loaded with Asian and foreign residents, they're deeply prejudiced against Asians and foreigners. I have other friends in the building and they also felt the same way. The resident manager, Jordan Struletz, is a complete nightmare to deal with, always petty, always unpleasant and seemingly on an endless quest against residents (and building staff as I heard) as if she owns the place. Mickey Napolitano oversees her and she’s very rude too- I've met her during a building event. They both seem on the verge of a nervous breakdown and take to unloading on residents and staff. The place doesn’t feel homey and they keep on spying on residents everywhere, at all times, a voyeurism for watching people on camera. Having a guest over is a pain and a time consuming ordeal as they ask for their Id, take picture, there’s usually a line of people. I perceive they deeply infringe on people's privacy in many ways. People in managing position and in the managing office treat staff poorly too, they don’t give doormen a chair. Management post petty notes for residents all around the building. This and the constant privacy violations make for the opposite of a luxury experience and from a look at their reviews, hundreds and hundreds have been harassed and have felt violated by BLDG. They should focus on serving people then leaving people alone- that's it. They need a shift in their mentality and practices. Some staff has casually confessed to me to having been harassed by management. Avoid BLDG if you can. [less]

A lot of extreme micromanaging goes on in this building. I was on the 6th floor with my small dog and a few friends. Then jordan (the resident manager) comes from her office, out of her way, to nag us about the small little dog. She was likely spying on us on camera.
Don’t know if she’s petty/harassing on her own or if someone makes her do it. Either way, it's her fault too, if jordan is told to be like that, she could take a stance by her own choice to avoid harassing residents, but she is complicity. She could opt not to harass residents if she wanted to. I’ve definitely noticed her contempt towards less rich residents.
Summit Apartments seem great, with many amenities, but the theatre rooms are never operational, the coffee is stale, and there are unsavory parties. Doorkeepers play favorites, and managers blame tenants for issues, leaving residents unheard and frustrated. The worst management is Alex T.
Is it a no dog building?
