Discussion about
I'm wondering which building (Coop, Condo, Commercial) will be the first to call a moratorium on renovation projects/buildouts even if the project has already commenced because they want to limit the traffic and materials coming in and out of the building due to Coronavirus concerns.
I think if they find a coronavirus case with a construction worker working there, it will start. Unfortunately, the construction workers really need their jobs.
Actually, if schools are shut down, many full servics buildings may not have staff to oversee contractors. So it is coming soon. May be early next week.
And if Blas shuts the city like Madrid and Milan have, the point will be moot. We'll all be staying put.

Brooklyn City Council member urges suspension of activity during coronavirus outbreak
Brooklyn City Council member Carlos Menchaca is calling for a moratorium on construction work citywide, in what would be one of the most significant industry-related disruptions since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.
“I’m calling on the moratorium of all construction site work in NYC,” tweeted Menchaca, who represents District 38 including neighborhoods such as Sunset Park and Red Hook. “Again, we are putting workers in danger.”
My coop put out a moratorium last week on all renovation projects. I was going to do a gut renovation of my bathroom in April since it was the original bathroom from 1952 (floor tiles and tub are hard to celan and the sink is chipped). They alsp stopped all deliveries to your door. I have to pick up my newspaper in the lobby. They have a table in the outer lobby where delivery men can leave their packages. Food delivery has to be paid for before they come.
