and record everything if you decide to rent here. My unit was not operating according to code. They refused to rectify. As I was traveling often, I decided not to pursue legal action. They also charged nearly $2500 at lease-end for repairs that were of normal wear and tear, incl. for example, cheaply installed window shades that broke with very light and minimal usage (1-2x weekly or monthly); and defects that existed prior to move-in and exacerbated naturally with time. 7 years in NYC, and never had any such issues with other management companies or landlords. Avoid, or document everything carefully.
