falling rents

I have noticed that rents in Midtown East and West, and LIC seemed to have stopped falling in mid-June. To be more accurate, there have been no changes since around June 15th. Have buildings hit rock-bottom in terms of rents they will accept, or is this a conspiracy between StreetEasy and buildings to prevent a rental market meltdown?
