I personally have been in the East Village for over 25 years however I frequently hear about my friends and family apartment searches. I had the pleasure this year of getting the first-hand experience with brokers/agents/real estate professionals in a post Covid world looking for my daughter who attends NYU. After looking at apartments all day, we were able to locate an apartment that listed ' Randall Smith ' as the listing agent. Not only did he make us wait 40 minutes outside the apartment when we did decide to lease the apartment he sweetened the pot by ' throwing in the furniture '. After the price changed numerous times (Net effective was not conveyed to us), we moved in and the apartment furniture was almost entirely broken and did not work.
