Ok so it's not NYC. But scroll through to the end. You won't be disappointed. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3695-Primrose-Rd-South-Lake-Tahoe-CA-96150/195374618_zpid/

I would not go see that listing alone . . .

On some level, I like the idea of one of them posed in a room, just to liven up the photos. Shows more humor and creativity than the shameless photoshopping going on in NYC listings (see an example in the recent Excelsior thread).

On the other hand, there can be too much of a good thing. And this would be that.

Forgetting the mannequins for a moment... At the very least they could have made the bed and cleaned up the bathroom a bit :-b

Priorities, bramstar! The mannequins were mostly well-kempt, were they not? When you list your apt with its crisply-made beds, I’ll be snickering at your disheveled mannequins.

Went from 1.6M views on day 3 yesterday to 2.5M views on day 4 today. Pure marketing genius.

These are actually real people, not mannequins. Pretty good Photoshop job unless he employed models.

The location must be amazing, no need to tidy up, whoever buys it is either going to tear it down or gut it. But not removing the unfolded laundry or perhaps dirty laundry from the couch it's pretty funny..

We have a three bedroom three bath in a pre-war building coming available in a couple of weeks. Forget staging furniture.....

Touche, Nada ;-)

Keith--I wondered the same thing. They do look frightfully real.

I showed the listing to a friend who is not a NY-er, who rather dismissively said, "oh yes, mannequins were a thing in the west in the 80s and early 90s when people were selling."

I'm with nada: I will plan to have one (just one!) posed in at least one photo when I'm ready to sell.

Yes, I showed the listing to my wife, said don't you think they look very real? She had a very good laugh at that! And then was like, you're kidding right? Lol.
