Small Reno - Expeditor Fees

I hired an architect for a small renovation in my coop. I am removing a coat closet in front of my galley kitchen to open up the space for a pass through/breakfast bar. I have paid him his fee, but he emailed me the other day with some exorbitant expeditor fees for this small project. Can anyone give me a ballpark of how much an expeditor would be for this type of project, and can anyone recommend one for me?
