Discussion about
The US has more realtors than homes for sale. While many "realtors" are part-time, inactive, vacation property managers, or doing only rentals, it is amazing that somehow they still can charge 6% on a sale in such a competitive market. https://www.morningstar.com/news/dow-jones/202103211527/new-realtors-pile-into-hot-housing-market-most-find-it-tough-going
Even more mysteriously, many manage to charge 6% while not adding any value. Other than driving up to the property with a key.
The typical Staten Island or Queens listing agent's answers to any question is one of the "Seller told me so", "Your attorney will figure this out during diligence", and "I don't know". Picks up phone and answers emails sparingly once every few days.
Way worse in NYC.
