Avoid this building at all cost

I regret moving into this building and the management will not return my calls to help me break my lease. It is on a beautiful block, close to shops and around the corner from the Q train. I regret moving into this building and the management will not return my calls to help me break my lease. It is on a beautiful block, close to shops and around the corner from the Q train. That is the only positive about this place. Bad: Peeling paint, outdated lobby and dirty carpet with no plans to fix as promised when I moved in. Cigarette smoke is definitely an issue and you will memos posted about smoke ban no one has any intentions of enforcing. Half the staff are related to super and the doorman/son in particular is unprofessional and difficult as he can be. It’s embarrassing to be told by guests my doorman was watching movies with feet up on the desk when they arrived and didn’t make any attempts to open the door. He routinely loses and misdirects packages when he isn’t forgetting to check them in so you may never know you have delivery for weeks. The rest of the staff (unrelated to super) work hard but seems unhappy and mistreated. Shame. Management never returns calls and there are more vacancies than you see listed here since tenants seem to be moving out weekly. Btw, despite the 2 elevators the movers were required to carry boxes and furniture down steep stairs to the basement to load it onto the elevator because that is the building rules! A 2 hour move turned into a 3.5 ordeal and unhappy movers who were told I was moving into an elevator building. Lastly, the Q train runs right below the building so despite it being convenient you will feel the vibration Of running subways throughout the day. Not sure how this affects air quality but something to consider. There are many great deals in street easy, it takes a little bit of time but worth it. 250 is poor value and you will notice some units have been empty for half a year. [less]
